Her book is Tinker's Affliction, available on Amazon. Tell us about Tinker’s Affliction. This is my first ever book that I made to go public. At first I was going to keep it to myself like many of my other works but I decided to take a leap of faith and this happen to be the book where I chose to take a risk. I have been working on Tinker's Affliction since I was 15, a sophomore in high school, I worked on it consistently until I was 21 in my senior year of college. This book has made me grow not only as a person but as an author as well. This book has a lot of character growth and is represented not only in the main character but the side characters as well and it is shown in various circumstances that I'm sure a lot of readers will resonate and get to see how these characters rise above it and grow. Share a favorite line. "No matter what he says, you're staying. You're smart, you're kind, you're a joy to be around, and everyone's day is brightened when you enter the room. You are perfect for this family. You are a part of this family. You are our daughter, and if he says otherwise, he knows where the door is, and your father will back us up one hundred percent." What’s a core memory that made you want to be a writer? I was in the fourth grade and my teacher told the class to write down everything we did for summer. And when I did, I realized that I was talking (in a way) and no one was telling me to shut up. Back then I had no voice and that what when I discovered a way to get my voice back and no one would tell me to be quiet. What is the most challenging aspect of being an author for you? Definitely marketing. No matter how many times you post, you're still at the mercy of the algorithm What piece of advice do you have for a new author? "Your book does not have to be popular to be good" What do you need to set the mood for writing? I put on lofi-jazz, make peppermint tea, low lighting, and light a candle that's either eucalyptus and mint or coffee scented so it feels like I'm in a cafe What is something you'd like readers to know about you as a person? I am huge anime fan, my favorite anime of all time is Katekyo hitman reborn and I also live my life like every day is Halloween How do you get past writer's block or being "stuck"? I take maximum 3 days off What are you working on right now? I am working on Book 2 of Tinker's Affliction "Tinker's Unraveling" When is your next book coming out? Hopefully in the Fall of 2025. Tinker's Unraveling: "What happens when the last gong rings"
